🌍 World Environment Day: Chiruca’s commitment to a greener planet

Every 5 June, World Environment Day is celebrated, a date promoted by the United Nations since 1973 to raise awareness among the world’s population about the importance of caring for and preserving the natural environment.

This day is much more than just an anniversary: it is a call to action. A day to reflect on our habits, the impact we have and the decisions we make as individuals, companies and societies.
This global event has become a global platform that drives positive change in public policy, consumption models and sustainable practices. Each year, a host country and a specific theme related to current environmental challenges, such as air pollution, biodiversity or waste management, are chosen.

At Chiruca, this ecological awareness is not just words. We firmly believe that enjoying nature also means protecting it, which is why we have integrated sustainability into the heart of our brand.
One of our most notable projects is Chiruca Carbon Free, an initiative that allows us to offset 100% of the CO₂ emissions generated during the manufacture of our footwear. This is achieved through certified reforestation programmes, which contribute directly to the fight against climate change.

In addition, with the Chiruca Forest project, we have created our own reforestation area that grows with every step you take in our boots. This natural space not only absorbs carbon, but also protects biodiversity and brings life back to the land.

And we do all this without compromising on quality. Through our strict production and material controls, we guarantee a durable, efficient and environmentally friendly product. Our Quality page reflects this effort to offer footwear that respects both the user and the environment.

On this World Environment Day, we reaffirm our commitment to a greener future. Because every choice counts. And when you choose Chiruca, you are choosing to walk with awareness, responsibility and respect for nature.
